I don’t know about you, but I hate this time of year.
The weather is miserable.
The days are shorter.
Everyone’s coughing and hacking all over the place.
And if I keep up all of this emotional eating and drinking, I will be 5,000 lbs by the time bikini season starts.
The good news is that I don’t have to cut back on my ice cream and wine habit to look thinner.
Nope.
Thanks to these tutorials to teach you (and me!) how to contour your face properly, I can continue on this downward spiral of mine while still fooling the world into thinking my chiseled face is a result of hours spent at the gym.
1. How I Contour & Highlight! by Carli Bybel
Carli always has a way of making me excited about makeup, and I especially love this tutorial because she provides both high-end products and drugstore alternatives. Oh, and she totally got me hooked on theSmash Box Photo Finish Foundation Primer and the Maybelline New York Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer – they were both fantastic buys!
2. How to Contour Your Nose (For All Nose Shapes!) by gossmakeupartist
Whether you have a big nose, narrow nose, flat nose, or an irregular nose, this tutorial is just what you need to get the nose shape you want without plastic surgery.
3. How to Make Your Face Look Thinner by Makeup Geek
What I love about this tutorial is that it has step-by-step instructions on how to contour using both cream- and powder-based products. I personally prefer powder-based makeup, but either option does the trick!
4. How to Contour and Highlight in 1 Minute by Makeup Geek
This tutorial has been a lifesaver for me on mornings when I don’t have a ton of time to mess around with a million different bronzers, highlighters, and makeup brushes. It’s quick, easy, and gets the job done. Oh, and I managed to find the Makeup Geek Angled Stippling Brush online, which really helps me pull this look off!
5. Kim Kardashian’s Contouring & Highlighting Makeup Secret by GlamBooth
While this is in no way a makeup routine I would recommend you do every day, it is a FANTASTIC way to transform your face for a big night out and includes lots of neat little tips and tricks that can be applied to your daily contouring routine.
